Purpose: It is to analyze techniques and placements while serving and receiving of the world-class badminton women’s single player, Dai Tzu-ying. Methods: Data got from a game that players were Dai Tzu-ying and Li Xue-Rui of the 17th Incheon Asian Games in 2014. Frequency method was used to state the percentage of techniques and placements while serving and receiving. Results: There were 49 servings in 3 sets, including 35 net about 71.4%, and number of serving on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th are 8, 10, 6, 1 respectively about 71.4%. Rushing up to net, push to backcourt, drop shot, snap shot are most used of receiving techniques, and about 57% and 43% on frontcourt and backcourt of receiving placement, respectively. Conclusions: It is as possible as more active for Dai on techniques and placements while serving and receiving to resolve the speed and lethality of attacks.
