本研究旨在探討廠商所具備之動態能力,與其技術策略選擇之適配關係,進而如何影響經營績效之過程。以臺灣的TFT-LCD產業爲研究對象,蒐集了1996-2006年的次級資料,搭配著與國內五大TFT-LCD大廠之主管進行深度訪談所蒐集的初級資料,來驗證研究假設本研究所推導的研究假設。主要研究發現有以下8點:(1)公司在選擇投入新製程或新產品技術時,的確會受到過去成功或失敗的經驗所影響或限制;(2)公司的主從策略之狀況,的確是受到過去決策所造成的結果;(3)公司是否持續進行技術研發,當技術機會出現時可以快速採用,會影響到自行研發或技術移轉、授權等方式之不同;(4)公司選擇投入新製程或新產品技術時,的確會影響技術績效的表現;(5)公司自行研發或技術移轉、授權等方式之不同時,的確會影響技術績效的表現;(6)公司的主從策略,的確會影響技術績效的表現;(7)公司過去的技術績效之經驗,的確會增進公司依環境調整公司的學習重點,以改進不足處之能力。(8)公司的技術績效之經驗,的確會影響或限制未來的策略擬定。

英文摘要

This research adopts ”dynamic capabilities view” to explore the impact of technology strategy on performance. We collected the secondary data of the TFT-LCD industry from 1996 to 2006. We also took deep interview with some senior top managers of TFT-LCD manufacturers. The main results of the research are summarized as follow: it can conclude that the ”path dependence” dimension of dynamic capabilities has an influence on the success or failure technology choice. Moreover, there are two sub-dimensions of ”process”, namely ”organizational learning” and ”resource reconfiguration”, have positive and significant effect on performance. By the interview with some senior top managers, most of them suggest that dynamic capabilities are important to the impact of technology strategy on performance.
