While the low employment rate is a common problem in hospitality and tourism education, training talents is also currently an important issue for schools offering hospitality and tourism related education. Based on school education, this study examines the effect of mentoring function and communication apprehension on the professional commitment to students under the guidance of teachers and further tests whether the gender has a moderating effect. Hospitality and tourism related majors are taken as survey subjects, to which purposive sampling questionnaires are distributed. With a total of 419 valid questionnaires collected, the valid collection rate is 93.1%. Regression analysis and moderating variable analysis are used for data analysis in the test. The results show that mentoring function has a negative influence on communication apprehension; the mentoring function has a positive influence on professional commitment. The mentoring function while communication apprehension has a negative influence on professional commitment, at the same time, plays a partial medium role of mentoring function and professional commitment. The influence of moderating function on professional commitment is moderated by gender that female generally do higher in mentoring function and professional commitment than male. The hospitality and tourism industry attaches great importance to the apprenticeship system and communication skills. Therefore, in cultivating hospitality and tourism majors in the future, schools should pay attention to students' gender differences communication apprehension and provide appropriate guidance according to the students' situations to reduce the caused by communication apprehension.

英文摘要

餐旅教育普遍存在低就業率的問題,學校如何培養人才是當今餐旅教育的重要議題。本文透過學校教育來檢視學生在教師的帶領下,師徒功能及溝通恐懼對學生的專業承諾,並進一步驗證性別是否具有調節作用。研究餐旅專業學生為調查對象,採立意抽樣實施問卷發放,共獲得419份有效問卷,回收率為93.1%;數據分析採用迴歸分析及調節變數分析進行驗證。結果顯示,師徒功能對溝通恐懼負影響作用,對專業承諾具正影響作用;溝通恐懼對專業承諾具負影響作用,且具有具有部分仲介效果;師徒功能對專業承諾的影響受到性別的調節,以女學生在師徒功能對專業承諾的關係高於男學生。餐旅業對師徒制和溝通能力極為重視,故未來學校在培養餐旅學生的過程,可根據性別差異及關注學生是否有溝通恐懼情形發生,根據學生的情況給予合適的輔導。
