"Qin-Yan-Xiao-Zhuan" was a novelette written by the Mandarin Duck and Butterfly School writer He Hai-Ming, He wrote it in early republic of China. This novelette was quite important but had been neglected for a long time. "Qin-Yan-Xiao-Zhuan" had some sense in history of chinese fiction. First of all, It used the fist-person narrative, and it was not epistolary or diary style, that was infrequent in novel During the period of early republic of China. Secondly, there were three diegetic levels in "Qin-Yan-Xiao-Zhuan", they show the effect of polyphonic narrative, female emotion narrative, and Feminine narrative. And finally, the sentimental atmosphere in this novel reflected people's confusion and incompetence in early republic of China.
