同理心概念從情緒共感到換位思考，然而當種族文化有巨大差異處境下，從多元文化如何做到同理，則需擴展一般同理心的概念。本文目的為探究種族文化同理心理念對於同理心概念之擴展，以呼籲與加強種族文化同理心的培育。筆者從文獻探究及工作經驗中分享從自我覺察與反思，透過了解自身文化對自我價值及認同的影響及可能帶有的文化偏見，進而設計各種文化差異議題的討論及探討，來覺察自己可能存在的隱微偏見或族群歧視與敵意。同時，透過案例演練及督導，幫助諮商臨床工作時的體察，最後建議臨床工作者走出自己主流的舒適圈從對話、反思中培育種族文化同理心。
