因應新冠肺炎（COVID-19）之防疫需求，開啟我國教育史上首次的「停課不停學」時期，而於此居家線上學習期間，為使在學學生之心理健康獲得照顧，輔導人員得依據教育部公布之《嚴重特殊傳染性疾病期間各級學校及學生輔導諮商中心通訊關懷與輔導諮商參考原則》進行通訊關懷與輔導諮商。青少年對於嘗試使用通訊設備尋求心理協助的意願高，且有其實施成效，因此相關經驗可提供後續遠距輔導工作參考。實務工作中，青少年通訊關懷與輔導諮商的進行可分為同步、非同步、同步與非同步交互使用等不同形式。為協助青少年於防疫停課時期的心理健康，通訊關懷與輔導諮商的目標應注意「維持人際連結感」、「建立內在穩定度」、「預防危機發生率」三方面。而比起面對面輔導，使用通訊設備進行青少年心理健康服務時，更須注意「設備與技術的考量」、「獨特的倫理考量」、「與家庭密切合作」等原則。新冠肺炎疫情的流行，提醒輔導工作者需重新思考讓各項心理服務變得容易取得的重要性，此時期的青少年通訊關懷與輔導諮商實務經驗，不僅是停課不停學時期的權宜之計，更能成為未來規劃與執行遠距心理專業服務的重要依據。
