近年來，山東家庭農場與休閒產業融合發展的典型代表即家庭休閒農場迅速發展。山東家庭休閒農場發展應注重模式創新，採用現代農業園區發展帶動模式、示範性農場帶動發展模式、區域化發展家庭休閒農場發展模式，發展主題式家庭休閒農場、打造家庭休閒農場多元產品類型，採用產品開發特色化，產品設計休閒化，行銷方式多元化的發展策略，走一條先國內後國際的發展道路，發展農場觀光、休閒、養生和教育等四大功能，發展觀光農園、休閒農場、民宿三大主體，深入挖掘原汁原味的鄉愁文化以形成鮮明的山東特色，最終實現山東家庭休閒農場的模式創新和模式帶動，促進家庭農場與休閒產業的相互促進相互補充融合發展，促進山東現代農業發展。
