高腔醒感戲《長城記》、《孟姜女》與宋元南戲《孟姜女送寒衣》一脈相承。此劇長期依附道教儀式流傳至今。其特點是：熔祭儀、戲劇為一爐；集演員、道士為一身；合劇本、科書為一體。是研究戲曲與宗教關係最典型的資料之一。

The Story of the Great Wall and Meng-Jinagnu, which are a sort of Xingganxi, have had close contact with Nanxi, which has been linked with the ceremony of Daojiao for a long time, and spread since the Song and Yuan dynasties. The play has always been combined with ceremony, drama, performers and monks, scripts and reference books, so it is a kind of typical material for studying the relationship between Xiqu and religion.
