澳洲原住民及其他各國的原住民在教育指標都呈現令人無法接受的弱勢情形。很多的觀察者已經將此現象歸因於經濟與福利的政策失敗,而後續的研究揭露出更複雜的圖像描述。在殖民者社會下的原住民教育實現行動將會被實踐。澳洲成功的案例將被檢視,而此篇文章亦將檢驗原住民教育及其挑戰的現況,並且尋找樂觀證據基礎的解決方式。 |
英文摘要 |
Poor performance indicators in education for Indigenous Australians and other First Nations peoples globally are unacceptable and unsustainable. Too many observers have reduced this phenomenon to a symptom of economics and welfare - policy failure. Subsequent studies reveal a more complex picture. Achieving Action in Indigenous Education within Settler Societies can be done. Schools are fundamental in preparing Indigenous children with the necessary skills for the 21st century. Education stories from Australia will be examined. This paper will examine the state of Indigenous Education and its challenges toward seeking optimistic evidence based solutions. |
