原住民族語言與傳播研究過程常面臨相似方法操作和研究情境：如，對族人影像、語音的攝錄等；且當前數位科技（如：攝錄影／音機、電腦、網際網路等）更大量應用於研究調查中，使族群影像和語料在紀錄、保存和傳佈過程所涉入的知情同意、權利保障、接近使用、再現、再製和相關利益等倫理議題更加複雜。然而，目前國內原住民族研究倫理多是原則性的要求，加上語言與傳播學門內專業倫理規範也仍於初步建構階段；因此，為更明確當前原住民族語言與傳播研究所面臨的倫理情境，本文除探討國內外相關倫理文獻與規準外，同時與部落族人進行深度訪談，提出未來倫理規約建構時的可能方向與建議。

The research in indigenous languages and communication during fieldworks may face similar ethical issues due to their similar methodologies such as filming and recording. Additionally, with the growing use of digital technologies(i.e., digital camera, recorders, computers, and the Internet) in documenting, archiving, and disseminating indigenous cultural materials or language data, more ethical and legal issues will be involved such as protection of copyright, interpretation and representation of ethnic images, right and access of collected data. However, nowadays only basic ethical principles and protocols are practiced regarding indigenous research in Taiwan. In order to establish explicit guidelines for indigenous language and communication researchers, a collaborative approach from both fields was applied to explore potential ethical issues in current research situations, to review established ethical guidelines in other countries, and to converse with local indigenous communities.
