Computer-aided design (CAD) has made it possible for designers to access a variety of design methods more quickly and effectively, speeding up both the ideation and manufacturing processes. The parametric design technique is currently being used, initially employed in architecture and engineering to spark early-stage ideas. However, it was later applied in the furniture design industry. This article discusses designing public furniture using parametric design in concept generation and prototyping. Given this approach's advantages and strengths, such as various ideas generation and rapid modification in the design sector, in the not-too-distant future, design and production will be more efficient than ever. |
