隨著科技的不斷創新，網際網路和數位資訊已經普及化，知識的傳播有更多型態可以來表達，顯示器問世後，人們也開始積極的開發有如紙張特性的閱讀顯示器，這種電子閱讀顯示器就是「電子紙」。雖然電子紙的閱讀方式及在使用上仍受到一些外在及本身因素的限制，如：電子紙的接受度、電子紙的載體影響了電子紙的可攜性、格式的未統一等。但電子紙仍有其發展優勢存在，如：資料量可大於傳統紙質印刷品、保存期限也比傳統紙質印刷品更長、出版成本較傳統成本低等。本研究以專家訪談來探討電子紙的發展性，並針對電子紙對傳統印刷產業的影響做一問卷分析，期能對電子紙所帶來之各項影響能稍加了解，甚或提出看法。依據研究結果發現：(1)目前電子紙產品已廣爲一般大眾所知。(2)面對電子紙所帶來的威脅，產業沒有具體的因應對策。(3)希望政府單位能有計畫的輔導。

After the availability of display in the market, people started to develop reading display that has the characteristic of paper aggressively, and such electronic reading display is the so-called ”electronic paper”. In this study, expert interview is used to investigate the development characteristic of electronic paper. A survey questionnaire analysis is performed on the influence of electronic paper on traditional printing industry, and it is hoped that the influences brought about by the electronic paper can be better understood or even some suggestions can be provided. Based on the research result, it is found that: 1. Currently, the electronic paper product has been recognized by the public. 2. There is no solid coping action to face with the threat brought about by the electronic paper. 3. It is hoped that the government can provide planned consultation and instruction.
