本研究旨在檢定大學生規律運動及體重過重者自我呈現、心理需求與運動依賴關係。研究設計為橫斷式調查，母群體為接受體適能檢測大學生，徵詢同意後以當面發放方式填寫自我呈現、心理需求、運動依賴等量表，利用立意取樣選取規律運動及體重過重共838位研究對象。資料分析以結構方程模式方法進行。結果發現研究假設皆獲得支持，男、女生自我呈現、心理需求對運動依賴影響模式具良好適合度。影響效果顯示男、女生自我呈現會直接正向影響心理需求及運動依賴，心理需求則直接負向影響運動依賴；男、女生自我呈現透過心理需求間接負向影響運動依賴。結論指出自我呈現可增加運動依賴，藉由心理需求調節可減少心理、生理、社會等層面的戒斷症狀。

The purpose of this study was to identify differences in relationships among self-presentation, psychological needs and exercise dependence in undergraduates who exercised regularly an in those who were overweight. This study was design as a cross-sectional survey and targeted a group of undergraduate students who had a completed fitness test regimen. After providing informed consent, participants were asked to respond to self-presentation, psychological need, and exercise dependence inventories. Purposive sampling was employed to select a total of 838 students from the potential sample defined as either regular exercisers or overweight. Data analysis used structural equation models. Results supported research hypotheses and found that the model of exercise dependence affected by self-presentation and psychological needs had good-fit for both males and females. These effects indicated that, in male and female students, self-presentation had a direct positive effect on psychological needs and exercise dependence and that self-presentation through psychological needs had an indirect negative effect on exercise dependence. The study concluded that self-presentation in addition to increased exercise dependence and psychological needs can facilitate reductions in psychological, physical, and social withdrawal symptoms.
