高強力聚乙烯纖維因具有高疏水性,無任何可供反應的官能基,故本研究使用低溫電漿(plasma)對高強力聚乙烯織物進行表面改質,使其織物表面活化,提升纖維表面反應性,再將其暴露在大氣中後,在高強力聚乙烯纖維織物表面形成過氧化物基團(peroxide group)。然後利用紫外線照射方式,將丙烯酸(acrylic acid,簡稱AAc)單體接枝於高強力聚乙烯織物表面,再以鹽基性染料以傳統染色方式進行染色。結果發現,經氣體電漿處理之後的聚乙烯纖維織物表面之親水性變佳。電漿功率於40~50W和紫外光照射時間於45~60秒之條件下,丙烯酸單體接枝率和染色深度(K/S值)會達到較大值;而對所用於產生電漿之四種氣體,則以氬氣對丙烯酸接枝或染色效應具有較佳的效果。但是電漿處理並不會對高強力聚乙烯纖維表面形態結構產生很大的破壞,聚乙烯纖維強力保留率大部份維持在90%以上。 |
英文摘要 |
High tenacity polyethylene fiber is a completely hydrophobic materials and without any functional group. And in this work, we used the low temperature plasma treatment in high tenacity polyethylene fabrics to improve the surface energy and the wettability of high tenacity polyethylene fabrics, and exposed in the air to form the peroxide on the fabric surface. In the next step, we used the UV irradiation to induce the grafted reaction with acrylic acid monomer on the fabric surface, and then dying that with basic dye. From the results, we found that the hydrophilic property of fibers was increased after plasma treatment, and grafted ratio of acrylic acid monomer and dying depth of fabrics (K/S value) had the maximum value when the treatment time of UV irradiation was 45-60 seconds and the voltage of plasma was 45-50W. However, the retention rate of fiber strength was above 90%. |
