繪本《三隻小豬的真實故事》以家喻戶曉的《三隻小豬》為藍本，顛覆經典童話之外，更加入了媒體此一極具現代感的要素。在傳播媒體已然掌握大多數人的消息來源的情況下，「真實」真的能透過媒體被重述嗎？而號稱「真實」的「故事」真的真實嗎？本文將藉由檢視《三隻小豬的真實故事》一書中的人物形塑，對照野狼日報與小豬日報中的媒體再現，從而探討現實與虛擬之間的界限，並審視在表面上所宣稱的真實下，作者是否藉由圖文互為輔助的方式，透露出另一更深層的意涵，並為圖畫書的創作，提供了另一嶄新的視野。

”The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!” is a picture book that provides a new version to subvert the classical fairytale, ”The Story of Three Little Pigs”. One of the most significant elements in this book is that it contains the description of media. Nowadays, media has become major resource for information people obtained everyday. But can media ”represent” reality as it really is? Is the ”true story” a real story? This essay aims to examine the book in the following ways: How the character has been described both in words and in pictures, and how different newspapers deal with the same event. By exploring these elements, the researcher would like to re-examine the boundary between reality and simulation and how this book provide a new version for the creation of picture books.
