中文摘要

This article aims to present Chuang Tzu's concept of meliorism through the perspective of Zhuangzi's materialization view(Wu Hua), view of perfect person(zhi ren) and from a perspective of western medical care in order to respond to the contemporary dilemma of one's body shape surrounding and faced by Taiwanese people as of today. This article is divided into four sections: first of all, the impact of the trend of attaching importance to appearance on the mainstream values of Taiwanese society over the past twenty years is reviewed by listing its main points. Secondly, Chuang Tzu's materialization view is briefly outlined, and the limitations of attaching importance to appearance are examined. The third, the definitions of "good" and "bad" body shapes are examined from the perspective of the standards of medical care and health education. Finally, rethinking from the view of Zhuangzi's "A Perfect Man" on the value consciousness of body posture and through the selfless effort to understand its shape as to return to the enlightened life. . Adapting "Zhuangzi"'s idea to reflect to today's mainstream values of beauty/ugliness and definition standards of health, we can reach a conclusion that a perfect person does not have to be a fat person, but can be a fatty.
