當一般民眾進行不熟悉的運動、動作或運動員突然增加訓練量及強度,尤其是其中包含高強度的離心收縮;亦或是長時間的耐力性運動,容易在運動後造成細微的肌纖維損傷(exercise induced muscle damage, EIMD)的問題,並且會導致人體誘發延遲性肌肉痠痛、最大收縮力量下降、關節活動角度減少、運動肌群發生腫脹、本體感覺失調等現象。造成人們日常生活動作品質不佳、影響運動員的競技表現,且可能會提升受傷的機率。遠紅外線(far-infrared ray, FIR)在臨床醫學上已被使用做為減緩肌肉疼痛、加速術後恢復的一項處理手段。近期,有文獻提出FIR可做為EIMD的有效恢復手段之一。因此,本文收集以及整理FIR相關文獻,針對FIR介入對EIMD的恢復效果以及可能機轉做探討及剖析。並且提出一些建議及未來研究方向,提供給有興趣之讀者做為參考。

英文摘要

When general people are doing unaccustomed eccentric exercise, or athletes increase their training intensity or volume too much, or especially when doing high-intensity eccentric exercise or endurance training such as long distance running, it can easily induce muscle damage (EIMD). EIMD can result in development of delayed onset muscle soreness, loss of muscle strength and range of motion, swelling and proprioceptive perturbation. This, in turn, can affect an individual's ability to conduct daily activities and sports performance, and can also increase the risks for athletes participating in competition because of reduced motor control. Far-infrared rays (FIR) have been commonly used as treatment method to alleviate muscle pain and for recovery after surgery. Recently, some studies suggested that FIR may be an effective intervention to attenuate EIMD. This review summarized the theory and application of FIR through collecting and analyzing previous studies, and discuss the potential mechanisms underlying FIR. Finally, this review provides (some) future directions and suggestions for researchers who are interested in (the topic of) FIR.
