There are many subjects about the reduction of cost, securing of the quality and safety, preservation of the environment, and so on, in the public enterprise at present. Therefore, the development of various new technologies has been done to solve these problems. This paper introduces the new technical countermeasures on sediment-related disaster prevention in Japan form the viewpoint of investigation, planning and construction on Sabo works.
