足球運動已經歷140餘年的歷史、其比賽規則，均依法治精神作為判定。但是，比賽誤判狀況，一直無法讓競爭對手、觀眾、賽會工作人員心服口服，可謂裁判主觀認定，縱有抗議，亦屬無效。就以2010南非世界盃足球賽而言，從小組賽到16強淘汰賽，誤判連連，球數之多居歷屆之冠，且成為不完美的世界盃足球賽。因此，研發球門補助監測系統，乃針對比賽中得分爭議之關鍵球，作正確的判定。例如，足球比賽射門，球撞中橫柱，瞬間垂直彈至地上線內，又從線內彈出時間之短，人類肉眼無法明確判定是否進球得分，往往成為勝負的關鍵球。本研究計畫目的是提出一套監測系統，補助足球比賽時，作為裁判判定是否進球的工具，使其降低誤判的機率；進而提升執法的完美性與公平性。

Football sport has existed for more than 140 years, its competition rules are based on the spirit of the rule of law. However, the conditions of inaccurate judgment often can not be satisfied by rivals, viewers, and game officials. Although there are protests against the subjective determination of judges, the protests are invalid. As far as 2010 South Africa World Cup is concerned, from group game to elimination game, there are many inaccurate judgments, the number of which is among the top of all previous World Cup football games, so it becomes an imperfect World Cup football game. Therefore, it is important to develop a goal auxiliary monitoring system, as it can make correct judgment on disputable goals. For example, in football game, if a ball hits the horizontal post and bounds instantly to the place within the line on the ground, and then bounds out, as the time is too short for human's eyes to clearly determine whether it is a goal, it is often becomes a key goal for success or failure. The study aims at providing a set of monitoring system, it will be used as a tool in football games for judges to determine whether it is a goal or not, so as to reduce the probability of incorrect judgment and increase the perfection and fairness of judges' determinations.
