由於動作擷取技術在過去十年的進步,已成為電影、動畫、遊戲產業用以製作高品質產品的重要工具,但其在應用上仍有許多可改善之處。本論文將針對擬人動畫,提出一個動作合成系統,能將動作擷取系統所擷取的人體動作資料作任意的編輯與結合,形成一個全新的動作。使用者可以根據動畫的需求,將不同的動作結合,以達到所需要的效果,能節省過去需另行擷取動作資料的費用與時間。本研究使用的器材為光學式動作擷取系統,它的作法是在演員身上設置感應標記,環繞演員周圍架設攝影機,並以C3D檔案格式記錄動作資料。由於擷取到的3D資訊會因為演員的動作與位置而產生錯誤,因此系統會自動偵測3D資訊的錯誤處,再加以修正。使用者便能透過編輯任意組合基本動作,交由系統對各感應標記的三維座標資料作向量旋轉和平移,以及使用Bézier內插法,將不同來源的基本動作資料完美結合為一。本論文以跆拳道為示範對象,並請跆拳道選手充當演員,獲取不同基本動作的C3D檔案。實驗結果顯示,本系統能有效的完成動作編輯及高水準的三維擬人動畫。 |
英文摘要 |
As motion capture technology has advanced in the past decade, the movie, animation, and game industries have routinely begun to employ it for making high quality products. However, some problems in usage of the current motion capture system always exist. In this paper, we propose a motion synthesis system using 3D motion segments that are generated from the motion capture system. This system allows the user to arbitrarily edit and join 3D motion segments in creating new body motion for the virtual actor. Users can join different motion data based on the needs of the animation in order to achieve the desired effect and to save cost and time. In this study, an optical motion capture system is used that attaches LED markers on the actor, captures motion by cameras, and records motion data in C3D file format. The proposed system will also automatically detect and correct the error of the 3D motion data that is generated from the capturing system and actor's location and motions. Users will be able to edit any combination of 3D motion data using the system through alignment of the 3D coordinate systems, as well as using the Bézier interpolation method to develop successful virtual actor motion. For this study, taekwondo was chosen as the experimental target and 3D motion segments were captured from taekwondo performers. The experimental results show that this system allows for effective completion of motion editing and results in high-level 3D human-like animation. |
