This paper aims to analyze the technique tactics and types of cautions of the best top six nations in 2014 TWIF Indoor World Championship. This paper provides sufficient suggestions for technique training and tactics for 2026 Indoor World Championship inTaiwan or other international competitions in the future. Three Chinese Taipei National Tug-of-war team coaches, used movement analyze of M560 KG recorded during the 2014 TWIF Indoor World Championship, to confirm the each technique. Finally, sum up the tactical characteristics of each team and their cautions type and timing. Firstly, there are far more technique performed by the teams in TWIF 2014 Indoor World Championship than the ones used and known in Taiwan. We totally found 45 techniques using during the competition, including 7 fast-break, 16 attacking, 19 defensing and 3 Sit & up techniques. Secondly, the techniques, tactics, cautions types and timing to commit a caution in each team differed. This paper concluded that instead of performing some fixed and monotonous model of offense/defense, each team in M560KG of the TWIF Indoor World Championship develops his own typical styles toward various offense/defense techniques. By completely analyzing the techniques, tactics and models of cautions types of each national team, this study also provides coaches specific suggestions and useful tactical strategy for future training and further research.
