In recent years, changes in the format of badminton competitions have led to a faster overall pace of the game, making it more exciting and engaging to watch. However, these changes have also placed new demands on the aerobic capacity, explosiveness, and agility of badminton athletes. To meet these demands, incorporating technology-enhanced training methods into athlete preparation has become increasingly important. High-intensity interval training has emerged as a crucial training method, enabling athletes to develop explosive power, increase muscle strength and endurance, and enhance their overall performance on the court. This article aims to explore the effect of high-intensity interval training on the performance of badminton athletes through a review of relevant literature, providing valuable insights for both athletes and coaches in their training practices.
