1970年以前臺灣的招牌設計,由於手繪字體蔚為風潮,留下樣式頗豐的文字造形,其中王水河創作的番薯體因筆畫特徵強烈,成為當時手繪文字的一款代表性字體。本研究採用歸納法,以番薯體為研究對象,在王水河先生的同意下,共收集303個番薯體手稿做為分析樣本,重建字體後針對筆畫特徵與筆畫接續規則進行歸納分析。研究主要獲致二項結論:(1)番薯體的筆畫特徵與筆畫接續皆具有規則性;(2)內切圓法可有效表示筆畫接續時採取的修飾特徵,通過由字面高度界定的r值,可規範此特徵成為一組系統性描述。 |
英文摘要 |
During 1970s, shop signboards in Taiwan were dominated by handwriting, leaving a wide variety of typefaces. Among them, the Shui He font by Shui-He Wang were characterized by strong strokes and became a representative font. In this study, we use the Induction method to take the Shui He font as the research object. Under the agreement of Shui-He Wang, a total of 303 of manuscripts were collected as the analysis samples. After reconstructing the fonts, the stroke characteristics and stroke intersection rules were summarized. The study was mainly led to two conclusions:(1) both the stroke features and stroke intersection of Shui He font are regular; (2) the incircle can effectively represent the decorative features of the stroke intersection, and the 'r' value is defined using the Character height, which can make the features of stroke intersection to a systematic description. |
