This study was based on the theoretical concepts of cognition and motivation on positive self-talk, aiming to understand tennis players' different conditions (gender, national team or not, team A or team B and technology levels) on cognition and motivation of positive self-talk. Be used Sport Self-Talk Scale as a research tool. The subjects were college players who attended the 2010 National Intercollegiate Athletic Game (male n=205, mean age 20.45 years old; female n=143, mean age 20.36 years old). Questionnaire recovery rate was 93.73%. The single factor analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA) was to compare cognition and motivation of gender, national team or not, team A or team B. and different technology level. The significant level was set at α=.05. The results showed as follows: There were no differences in One-Way ANOVA. This concluded that different conditions (gender, national team or not, team A or team B and technology level) in the use of cognition and motivation of positive self-talk were the same, nothing difference. Past studied have pointed out that many players will use the cognition and motivation of positive self-talk, the researcher expected that male utilized rate was higher than female; national team utilized rate was higher than non-national team; Group A utilized rate was higher than Group B; national represent level players were the highest utilized rate, followed by joining National Game players, and followed by joining county or city Game players, and finally was school represent level players. According to the empirical data showed that no such trend, it was recommended that athletes of different development stages in the future to understand the use of cognitive and motivational positive self-talk frequency.
