The poet, Xu Zhimo (hereby as Xu), could not work on his poetry just at the topic of nature and romance. He realized that the Chinese intellectuals have the urgency to stay with the populace and the society. With his sensitivity of the atmosphere in this big era, Xu demonstrated his social caring in his poems. He broadly addressed the social phenomenon and the life burdens to reflect his special touching to an ideal of hope in the world of darkness. Xu worked out tremendous words to evoke his emotive responses of the deepest insight of a cruel reality. His romantic poems describe the gloomy lives and personal pessimism inward. In the other hand, Xu presented his reflection in the miserable impact and deep grief to the outer world of reality in his modern writings.
