運動前的熱身(warm-up)是從事激烈訓練或競技比賽時不可或缺的準備動作之一。熱身活動相較於訓練或比賽則屬中低強度的運動,雖然可以藉由這些熱身運動來提高身體溫度,刺激心血管系統增加氧氣運送到肌肉的速度,使得身體的各個器官能準備好接下來的劇烈運動,並降低運動過程中的運動傷害。然而,Volianitis(1999)等人指出這些基本熱身運動所產生緩和的換氣需求,並無法有效地促進呼吸肌肉的功能,就肌肉型態觀點而言,呼吸肌也屬骨骼肌的一種,如果運動前增加吸氣肌肉的熱身活動(inapiratory muscle warm-up activity)到運動前的熱身程序中,似乎可以改善這種缺失,因此本文透過文獻資料整理,來看吸氣肌熱身是否可以改善呼吸肌的功能與運動能力表現。

英文摘要

One of the important means of warm-up is engaged in intense exercise training or competition. Warm-up activities works in low-intensity exercise to increase body temperature, stimulate the cardiovascular system to increase the speed of delivery of oxygen to the muscles, so that the various organs of the body can be ready for the strenuous exercise. Volianitis et al. (1999) pointed out that the basic warm-up exercises can not effectively contribute to the respiratory muscles function. Respiratory muscle is skeletal muscle, through the warm-up activities probably could improve respiratory muscle function and exercise performance.
