在2009年庫里決定棄學參加職業選秀時，他的球探報告中被指出了下列缺點：不是真正的組織後衛、有時失去控制、投籃選擇糟糕、在1-2號位間定位不明、防守能力存疑、橫向移動速度不足、能防守的位置多樣性不足、上限有限、只能擔任球隊替補或邊緣發、運動能力、身高及臂展並不突出、容易受傷、太依賴外線投籃。最後，庫里以首輪第七順位被金州勇士隊選中。經過了職業籃球場上的數個賽季，在以往美國籃球協會都崇尚人高馬大的球員優勢，靠著身材優勢闖入籃下禁區得分，身材只有191公分、82公斤的庫里，因為沒有壯碩的身材硬碰硬，庫里依靠在快速的三分線出手得分的能力，逼使敵隊擴大禁區的範圍。在體形與體能與其他職業球員的相比並不突出的條件下，卻能打出全明星的身價並改變了籃球的戰略。靠著普通人的身材，打破了許多籃球史上的紀錄，開創了NBA現今的小球戰略時代。 |

On June 25, 2009, Curry was selected with the seventh overall pick in the2009 NBA draftby theGolden State Warriors. But the scouting report indicated his weakness as follows: Not a true point guard, Out of control at times, Bad shot-selection, Stuck between 1-2, Ability to defend position at next level, Lateral quickness, Versatility to defend multiple position, Limited upside, Back up/ Fringe starter, Average athleticism, Average size, Average wingspan, Relies too heavily on outside shot. At 6'3" tall and 185 pounds, Curry was never going to impress people with his outrageous size. Instead, he was going to need to forge a path toward the NBA using his shooting ability force the opponent enhance the defend area. Through several season on NBA, Curry has won several honors and proved that even the average size can change the game. |
