Ingestion of Sharp-Pointed Foreign Bodies: A Case Report

吞食異物可發生於各年齡層但以兒童最為常見，在成人患者可以是故意或意外造成。吞食尖銳異物若仍處在十二指腸近端上面，依治療指引可急做胃腸內視鏡移除，若已進入腸道系統可採觀察、保守療法。因大部分異物會安然排出。但病患吞食異物常常付出巨大的醫療成本，除預防再犯仍須注意較高的罹病率。本文提出一位患者吞食刀片，緊急內視鏡移除失敗最後靠外科手術移除。提醒預防患者吞食異物再犯的重要性以減少後續醫療處置的風險。

Ingestion of a foreign body is a common problem among all age groups, particularly in children. In case of adult patients, they are accidental or intentional. Current guidelines on the management of ingested sharp objects recommend the urgent endoscopic removal of sharp objects at or above the proximal duodenum. Conservative management is appropriate for the majority of patients, since most objects (blunt and small foreign body) will pass uneventfully. Patients who with enent of present ingestion of foreign bodies, efforts should also focus on prevention of recurrence as subsequent episodes are associated with higher morbidity, significant healthcare, and security costs. In this article, a rare case of razor blades ingestion was presented and they were removed by surgical intervention since emergent endoscopic intervention was unsuccessful and highlighted the important role of a prevention plan to reduce the risk of subsequent events.
