Cognition and Daily Living Function Related to the Performance of Coloring Painting among Patients with Dementia

目前坊間有多種著色畫療癒繪本發行供一般民眾使用，著色畫團體亦常應用在失智症照顧團體中。依據研究者臨床觀察，失智症患者的著色畫表現與其功能變化存在著某些關聯。本研究回溯觀察2名在某精神科專科教學醫院老人日間留院的失智症患者，收集他們在2019年3月至9月間著色畫團體的作品，與其認知及日常生活功能評估結果作一比較。結果發現失智症患者著色畫的表現與其認知及部分日常生活功能減損有著一致趨勢變化。

Currently, there are a variety of colored painting healing picture books released for the general population. Picture-coloring groups are often held in dementia-care groups. According to the researcher's clinical observation, there is some consistency between the performance of the coloring painting and the functional changes of the person with dementia. This study retrospectively observed the collection of picture-colored works of two patients with dementia, who attended coloring painting group in a psychiatric teaching hospital from March to September 2019. When comparing their picture-colored works with cognitive and activities of daily life (ADL) function, the results showed that there was consistent trend change among the performance of coloring painting, cognitive and part of ADL function among the patients with dementia.
