The aim of this project is to use social media such as LINE@ to promote medication education videos in order to break space and time constraints. Each video would be placed on the social media platform for 28 days. The participants could watch the video and respond to the knowledge questionnaire at any time. 24 medication-education videos have been produced. The average number of views of on each topic is 288 times, which is 5 times more than the number of people attending public health lectures at the hospital. Medication related knowledge was evaluated before and after watching the video. The highest improvement in knowledge test score was the topic for drug interaction. The lowest knowledge score was shown in the anticoagulant topic. Using social media such as LINE@ can increase the number of participants. The results from this study suggests that general health topics can be continuously broadcast but specific medication related videos should be broadcast only to patients of interest or consider collaborating with patient help groups. |
