This paper discusses the tendency of writing Zhuzhici Poetry in the Meiji period, focusing on the enlightenment and red‐light district. First, it examines the tradition of Japanese Zhuzhici Poetry, and then focuses on the post-Meiji period's Zhuzhici Poetry, which recites civilized and enlightened things, and on the narrative and criticism of the Jijhan poets on the current style. The study of the Meiji era takes as its core poems such as "Yoshihara Zhuzhi," "Yanagibashi Zhuzhi," "Shinbashi Zhuzhi," and "Ginkai Zhuzhi," which recite the scenery of Tokyo, and explores the commonalities of their writing and the styles of the times presented in them.
