本文爲探討渤海國的開國始祖大祚榮的族屬、崛起與渤海國建國的過程與業績，以及涉外的國際情勢。史載大祚榮是高句麗或靺鞨族的後裔，其族屬，以及其統治階層爲高句麗族人，以及被統治階層爲靺鞨族民眾等課題，都值得一併探討。另外，在國際局勢方面，有謂大祚榮是高句麗被唐朝滅亡經過，使得大祚榮得以在昔日的高句麗領土上崛起，自立爲振國王，後來得到唐朝冊封，成爲渤海郡王，國號則稱爲「渤海國」。而大祚榮對外關係，一向採取友好和平的往來政策，如：對唐朝、對突厥、對契丹、對新羅等國，如此才使得大祚榮能一直領導國家發展，因此，在區域、社會、政治、經濟、文化等方面不斷擴大提升。而在靺鞨族諸部落中是最發達強盛。所以這可說大祚榮是高句麗的復活者，有意復興高句麗，回到高句麗等，也都值得探討。以上，對於大祚榮的生平與在位期間的業績，以及對外關係，都是本文論述分析之重點。

This article to discuss about the Kingdom of Balhae (渤海國) founding a country first ancestor Dae Jo-Yeong (大祚榮)'s race, rising and country founding of the nation process and the achievement, as well as foreign international circumstance. According to history, Dae Jo-Yeong is Goguryo (高句麗)'s descendant, his race is, as well as his ruling circles Goguryo's people, but also has by the ruling circles British people, is worth discussing together. Moreover, In international circumstance aspect, Dae Jo-Yeong is perishes the Goguryo after Tang Dynasty, may take advantage that this good opportunity, rises in the beforehand Goguryo territory, supports oneself into inspires king, afterward obtained Balhae to acknowledge, became the king of Bohai, the dynasty name is called ”the state of Balhae”. But his foreign relations, adopt the friendly peace the intercourse, for example: Tang Dynasty, Turkic (突厥), Khitan (契丹), Silla (新羅) and Japan and so on countries. therefore, can enable Dae Jo-Yeong to lead the national development, in aspects and so on region, society, politics, economy, culture expands the promotion unceasingly. As well as in Mohe (靺鞨族) various tribes is most developed and powerful. Therefore this may say that Dae Jo-Yeong is Goguryo's resurgent, wants to revive Goguryo, returns to Goguryo, has established the Kingdom of Balhae. Also above, is worth discussing.
