本研究旨在探討如何運用台語歌曲來強化技職生英語學習之動機。實驗對象為北台灣一所科技大學一年級的學生。他們依指示自由分組，每組要翻譯一首的台語歌曲，並於期末繳交個人學習心得。課中研究者示範如何簡譯台語歌曲來學習英語。研究結果顯示，實驗對象相當喜歡此一活動，且覺得有助於他們的英語學習。不過，部分問題也被發掘出來，包括組員冷漠的態度等等。文末並提出教學上的啟示與建議。

This research aims at exploring how Taiwanese songs could be used to promote technological university students' motivation for learning English. Fifty-five freshmen from a technological university in northern Taiwan participated in this study. They were asked to choose their own partners, forming groups of five members. Each group was then required to translate in parts one self-selected Taiwanese popular song and to report their reflections individually about the group project to the researcher at the end of the semester. To give a better idea, the researcher demonstrated one or two songs by singing and translating in each meeting. The results showed that most participants enjoyed the group project a great deal and found it helpful in improving their learning of English, especially in the area of vocabulary. However, several problems were also observed from the data collected, including group members' indifference. Some pedagogical implications and suggestions were presented in the end.
