《逃獄三王》或稱《霹靂高手》是柯恩兄弟檔的一部號稱基於古希臘荷馬的名著《奧德賽》，卻搬到幾千年後的美國密西西比州，又充滿了早期美國民間音樂的電影。其劇情變化多端又幽默逗趣，演員和樂人個個傑出勝任，佳評如潮又獲獎連連。所以多年來學術研究、一般討論和小道趣聞連篇累牘，甚至於激起了美國民間音樂興趣的復甦。本文主旨在探索此電影的許多特點，側重於其音樂部分。

＂O Brother, Where Art Thou?＂ is a Coen brothers' movie claimed to be based on the ancient Greek masterpiece ＂Odyssey＂ by Homer, yet transplanted thousands of years later to Mississippi, USA, and accompanied by abundant early American folk music. It is dramatic and humorous. Actors and musicians are the very best of their kinds. It received the highest critical acclamations and prestigious awards. For years there have been countless scholarly studies, general comments and even tabloid news about this film. It even evoked a rejuvenation of interest in American folk music. This article is a study of the characteristics of this film with an emphasis on its musical aspects.
