本文是描寫一位妊娠19週發現胎兒為唐氏症之孕婦，在得知胎兒異常至終止妊娠及返家坐月子期間之護理經驗，自98／02／12至98／02／16護理期間，以生理、心理、社會功能、靈性等層面做為護理評估，運用會談、身體評估、直接護理方式及電訪持續追蹤二個月收集資料，發現個案有焦慮／與懷孕唐氏症兒的疑惑；擔心引產處置過程及胎兒處置方式有關、潛在危險性哀傷功能失常／與面對胎兒異常必須終止懷孕的失落有關、家庭因應方式不良／與家庭成員迴避討論失落哀傷有關三項主要健康問題。在護理期間提供唐氏症兒的正確資訊，同理及支持其終止妊娠的選擇，適時提供個案相關協助與傾聽、陪伴，並提供胎兒安置相關訊息外，並協助個案家庭成員一起參與此事件的調適行為，使其渡過哀傷、正向看待未來。
