近年來，數位媒體與資訊科技帶來了許多對人類未來發展極具影響性的概念，而且正不斷的深植及應用在我們的生活之中。藝術創作家們為了反映出他們此刻對生活的轉換與對生命的感觸，試圖融合了許多新興媒體科技於藝術的創作領域之中，並且運用了許多新的「數位媒材」與「網路科技」於他們創作的過程或是作品的展現上。因此，這幾年在世界各地的藝術活動中，除了感受出藝術創作家們適時地反應了這個新世紀的現象外，也發展了許多新的藝術表現形式，而這些數位化的新創作形式大多提供了特殊的沈浸式互動環境，使得藝術創作的空間充滿了許多令欣賞者期待與親身體會探索的可能性。在這些新形態藝術中，以「人工生命藝術」的創作最具挑戰性，其原因除了創作過程中涉及到許多邊緣領域的交叉學門外，也引發了藝術觀念和藝術形式的巨大轉化，也更滿足了創作者在創意表達與生命反思的慾望，因此人工生命藝術也就成為數位藝術中最具代表性的創作方式。本研究深感人工生命藝術的創作領域可待發掘的內涵甚多，因此以人工生命藝術創作概念與環境成因之研究為題，藉由大量分析國內外相關創作與文獻，探究遺傳演化與網路分散式創作的概念與創作環境成形之要素，並針對藝術與科技融合的觀點，希望在數位藝術（Digital Arts）、生物數學（Biomathematics）、人工智慧（Artificial Intelligence）、設計運算（Computational Design）、仿生學（Bionics）、以及類神經網路（Neural Network）等專業領域的交融下，探尋人工生命藝術在網際空間（cyberspace）中，展現生命形態演化創作的可能性，以做為未來相關學者在此領域對「創作理論」與「創作環境」等議題思考上的參考依據。

In recent years, Digital Media and Information Technology bring us many of influence concepts for future life developments, and just constantly apply in our life. The art creates that reflecting now to living conversion and to emotional stirrings of the life, try to blend many kind of new media technologies in the realm of the art creations, and made many use of new ”digital mediums” and ”network technology” on their artworks' presentation or creating processes. In this several years, the art activities in every place of the world, in addition to feel the creation to respond the phenomenon for this new century, also developing many of new manifestation of the arts, and the digitize is new to create the form to provide many of special immersive interactive environments. In these new art of appearances, the art creations of artificial life has most challenge, the reason is in addition to involving many realm of the cross edges in many fields, also caused the idea of the art and the forming of the art huge to convert, even satisfying the creator to have most representative method of the creations in the expression of the creativity and life the anti-think of desire. So the artificial life arts became a main form in digital media arts. As there had many significations of the art creations of artificial life waited for deepening, this research topic on the forming factors of creation concept and environment in cyberspace artificial life arts by analysis domestic and international related creations and literatures, and to confer the forming factors of concept and environment in the inherit evolution and the network distributed creation. Also the researcher aimed in harmony view with arts and technology, hoping to integrate with all fields of ”Digital Arts”, ”Biomathematics”, ”Intelligence Artificial”, ”Computational Design”, ”Bionics”, and ”Neural Network”, to explore the creative possibility of artificial life arts in the cyberspace, and to be a reference of subject consider basis as in the future related scholars in this field on ”creations theories” and ”environment of the creations”.
