The aim of this paper is to discuss how bilingual speakers demonstrate their communicative competence in this bilingual or multilingual society. The phenomenon of code-switching emerges as an important characteristic of Bilingualism. Three parts are given consideration in this research. First, the different types of bilingualism are discussed. Second, types and functions of code-switching are considered, and finally, the problems and attitudes towards bilingual speakers will be also mentioned. |
