本研究目的在透過2006亞洲攀岩錦標賽之現場觀眾，瞭解不同性別、身分類別及偏好不同類型岩場之參與觀眾是否有差異存在。本研究採問卷調查法，以2006亞洲攀岩錦標賽之現場觀眾為研究對象，主要研究結果顯示：一、現場顯示攀岩現場觀眾以年輕、高學歷的學生為主要族群，但不一定要從事過攀岩運動或已經有高度從事攀岩運動的人為主。二、現場觀眾在參與動機上的前三項依序為「刺激」、「知識」及「戲劇性」，其次為「模範角色」、「娛樂價值」與「環境氣氛」，而「家庭關係」則最弱。三、不同性別對現場觀眾在運動興趣、刺激、娛樂價值、知識及環境氣氛等五個構面達顯著差異。四、偏好不同類型岩場之現場觀眾在支持女性、模範角色及顧客服務等三個構面有顯著性差異。五、不同身分類別之現場觀眾在所有的構面上均沒有顯著差異。最後，本研究依據理論架構與資料分析結果提出結論、對學術與實務界之建議與未來研究方向。

The object of this research project was to examine and analyze the spectators attending the 2006 Asian Rock Climbing Championship on the correlations and differences among their gender, background and preference over different rock climbing sites. Survey was the research method employed in this project. Its sample taken for this project was based on those spectators attending the 2006 Asian Rock Climbing Championship. The results found by this research project can be depicted in five aspects. First, those who came to attend and watch the event were mostly young students who had a higher education background. They did not necessarily possess the past experience engaging in rock climbing. They did not have to be active rock climbers, either. Second, the top three motivating factors to participating in the event were excitement, knowledge and drama. Then, the next three motivating factors were role model, entertainment and wholesome environment. The motivating factor of bonding with family showed the least effect. Third, the difference of gender on those spectators did reflect distinctive differences in the following elements as well: Interest in sport, excitement, entertainment, knowledge and wholesome environment. Fourth, the preference held by those spectators over different rock climbing sites did reflect distinctive differences on them in the following elements: Support women's opportunities, role model and customer service. Fifth, the difference of spectators' background made little difference on their answers in all the questions in the survey. The conclusions of this research project were culminated upon theoretic structure and data analyses. Hopefully, this project would ultimately serve as an effective, useful research tool and/or reference in any future endeavors of the academic sector as well as of other sectors in Taiwan.
