上博楚簡〈舉治王天下〉於《上海博物館藏戰國楚竹書》（九）發表時，整理者濮茅左即依其內容將之分為五篇，分別為〈古公見太公望〉、〈文王訪之於尚父舉治〉、〈堯王天下〉、〈舜王天下〉、〈禹王天下〉五篇。其後，除個別文字之釋讀學者紛紛提出討論外，許多學者亦針對其簡序提出修正意見。其中，〈古公見太公望〉三簡除皆提及「□（古）公」外，其餘文意無法串連，故自原釋編排後，學者在簡序方面大抵無異議。故而，本文以下之討論，即在整理學者有關文字考釋之說，並就個人所見提出心得。

When ＂Ju zhi wang tianxia (The kingship of various rulers)＂ was published in Zhanguo Chu zhushu collected by Shanghai Museum (9), the editor Pu Maozuo divided its contents into five chapters, namely ＂Gu Gong jian Taigong Wang (The Old Duke visits the Grand Duke Expected)＂, ＂Wen Wang fang zhi yu Shangfu ju zhi (King Wen enquires about raising and governing from Shangfu＂, ＂Yao wang tianxia (The kingship of Yao)＂, ＂Shun wang tianxia (The kingship of Shun)＂, and ＂Yu wang tianxia (The kingship of Yu)＂. After that, not only the scholars specializing in reading and explanation of individual words successively made the related discussion, many scholars also suggested making correction of the brief preface. One of these comments indicated that except ＂Gu Gong (the Old Duke)＂ being mentioned in three sections of ＂Gu Gong jian Taigong Wang＂, it had no connection with the contents of the remaining chapters. Therefore, after the original explanation was arranged, the scholars generally did not raise objection to the brief preface. In view of this, the discussions of this paper will review the scholars' comments on the explanation of the related words, and will also present the researcher's personal viewpoints.
