談中藥材『冰片』的分類、鏡像分析與歸經的感受

冰片為一萜烯類的植物二次代謝物，自古為名貴的中藥材。本篇回顧報導依據來源的不同，介紹了冰片的分類。簡而言之，化學合成冰片（也稱機制冰片、合成龍腦）含有四種光學異構物：左旋異冰片、右旋異冰片、左旋冰片與右旋冰片，而天然冰片只含有其中一種。與傳統分析方法不同的是，我們利用鏡像氣相層析分離管柱，將以上四個冰片的異構物，直接解析出四隻獨立的吸收峰，來檢視市售的冰片。因為化學合成冰片是近代的產品，其藥性並未見諸於中醫藥古籍的記載。在本文中，我們也記錄了吳鐘霖醫師服用天然冰片與化學合成冰片後，其個人對歸經的感受。

Borneol is a plant terpene which is widely used in traditional Chinese Medicine. The classification of borneol was discussed in this review article. There are four different optical isomers in chemically synthesized borneol, (+)-isoborneol, (−)-isoborneol, (−)-borneol, and (+)-borneol. However, only one optical isomer can be found in ＂natural borneol＂. Unlike traditional analytical methods used for examination of the product of borneol, four well-resolved peaks of borneol isomers can be obtained by using chiral gas chromatography column. Because chemically synthesized borneol is a modern product, its application is not described in the ancient Chinese medical recipes or books. The channel tropism of natural and chemically synthesized borneol was therefore reported here, from Dr. Chung-Lin Wu's personal experience.
