A 37-year-old woman presented with a new-onset cough after receiving the Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. She was diagnosed as a cough with a pattern of the wind-heat invading the lung. After taking the Chinese medicine formula FengZe01 (FZ01) for 7 days, the cough was relieved. In CM theory, FZ01 is used to dispel wind, clear heat, suppress cough, and resolve phlegm, and might exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. In conclusion, we suggest that Chinese medicine may be helpful in treating adverse reactions, such as cough, after COVID-19 vaccination; however, further research is needed to clarify the underlying mechanisms.
