《中国国民经济核算的新发展》一文回顾了从建国初期，特别是从改革开放以后到经济普查以前，中国国民经济核算的建立和发展情况，包括国内生产总值核算、投入产出核算、机构部门账户和资产负债核算的建立和发展情况；阐述了经济普查之后，中国国内生产总值核算和机构部门账户发生的若干方面变化，包括经济普查年度国内生产总值核算的生产范围、基本分类、资料来源、计算方法的修订和国内生产总值历史数据的修订，以及非经济普查年度国内生产总值核算方案的制定，包括机构部门账户部门分类的细化和编制方法的修订；探讨了目前中国国民经济核算中存在的困难和问题，包括国内生产总值核算、投入产出核算和资产负债核算存在的困难和问题；提出了中国国民经济核算进一步发展的设想；介绍了中国国民经济核算在宏观经济管理中的应用情况。

This paper provides a historical review of the evolvement of the China's national accounts from the early foundation of the P.R. China to the year of economic census, focusing on the period where opening-up policy was delivered and economic reform was implemented, respectively introducing the establishment and development of GDP estimation, input-output table, institutional sector accounts, and balance sheet. In addition, this paper also describes the overall impact on China's national accounts due to the economic census by elaborating the changes of GDP estimation and institutional sector accounts compilation in terms of production boundary, industrial classification, institutional sector classification, data resources, accounting method, historical revision, GDP estimation plan in non-economic census years. Furthermore, this paper discusses the difficult and problematic issues in current China's national accounts, and proposes corresponding improvements for the further development. Finally, the application of national accounts in the field of macro-economic management in China is summarized.
