近年來，生物技術產業在各國表現優異，在台灣發展亦日趨進步。然而，國內卻因為投資資金不足而無法有重大的突破。因國內對於此一產業認知仍處於初期發展階段，缺乏較明確之投資評估準則，使投資者望之卻步。因此本研究針對「創投事業對生技產業投資之評估準則」探討不同時期創投業者對生技產業之重要投資條件評估因素，以供產業不同角度的參考。本研究針對創投業者發放問卷，以Ridit、羅吉斯回歸分析及區別分析探討創投業者對早期及擴張期的生技產業著重之投資評估準則。結果顯示創投產業在早期著重「創業家投入程度」、「產品之獲利能力」、「研發技術」與「障礙程度因素」。而擴張期則重視「產品開發」、「產品利潤」、「產品廣度」與「市場廣度」。

Recently, biotechnology industry has reaped a big profit and, in Taiwan, the development of biotechnology industry has been more sophisticated as well. However, Taiwan has no breakthrough in the field of biotechnology due to the lack of fund. The understanding of the new industry, biotechnology industry, in Taiwan is still in the early stage of development and this industry lacks an explicit investment evaluation standard as well. These factors cause investors to have a few wills to invest. Consequently, this research focuses on the analysis of investment evaluation standard and on the conference of the different evaluation factors of the investment conditions under various backgrounds of the biotechnology venture capital, providing some information for industry's reference. In the research, the investors are administered the questionnaire. Moreover, the research finds out the crucial investment evaluation standards respectively in the investment of the early and the expanding stages of the biotechnology firms with the statistics methods including Ridit, Logistic Regression analysis and Discriminate Analysis. Through the analysis, the research shows that when the venture capital industry invest the biotechnology firms in the early stage of the business, the crucial evaluation factors that they value include the leader's expertise background, the profitability, the R&D and the investment obstacles; On the other hand, the crucial factors, in the investment of the biotechnology firms in the expanding stage of business, include the development of products, the profit of products, the extensive use of the products and the extent of markets.
