席慕蓉是崛起於臺灣八0 年代的詩人與散文作家,其詩集的銷量打破了現代詩的小眾場面,而形成大眾詩風潮。本文由對於「席慕蓉現象」的討論切入,分析席慕蓉詩文的特質,主要為:在形式方面,文字語言平易近人,以及複沓音韻的歌謠體特徵。在意象方面,喜以花表現愛情與青春,以及水意象表現時間流逝的意旨。另外,身為1949 年中國來臺人士,席慕蓉的鄉愁與其他「外省人」不同,乃在於漢蒙兩族文化衝突。最後,席的詩與文有著強烈的「自我書寫」表現,有著濃厚的抒情性。可見,在重視音韻的歌謠複沓形式、「傷逝」與「離別」情懷、甚至直接翻寫樂府舊題等等表現上,都與中國古典詩歌中的「抒情傳統」一致,於是,我們可說,席慕蓉的詩文是二十世紀的新樂府。 |
