跳躍運動常常伴隨著落地時傷害的發生,而身體姿勢在空中的控制對於即將落地顯得格外重要,核心肌群主要位於人體軀幹中央,其具穩定、平衡、能量傳遞、預防傷害等功能,在運動過程中扮演著重要的角色,當核心肌群的能力降低時會影響對軀幹的控制、改變運動型態,同時提高運動傷害的風險。跳躍運動主要是透過下肢力量來進行,而核心強度與穩定訓練能夠提高各肢體包括肩膀、上肢與下肢的使用效率,進而加強肢體的動作行為,而跳躍後落地型態會影響下肢各關節的負荷,核心肌群疲勞則會影響核心中的肌肉能力,改變軀幹在空中的穩定表現使落地型態不同,進而影響到下肢關節落地的負荷,故核心肌群的作用對跳躍運動的表現、軀幹的穩定與傷害的預防極為重要。
