This paper proposes a compliant reconfiguration structure generation method with the compliant units. The compliant properties and characteristics are collected according to the compliant analysis of these units. This compliant unit reconfiguration generation process supposes that the reconfigurable compliant structure can be effectively evolved from or combined by these basic compliant units. The regeneration requires a model or a mathematical representation to the compliant behavior which must capture the relationship between the applied force and obtained displacement. Thus it enables that structure evolvement is further carried out by these model operations. This compliant unit based reconfiguration approach renders a combination interpretation of the compliance behavior with utilizing various representations of kinematic properties of units and providing basic information for available compliant structure design. |
