Lightweight hybrid structures made of textile-reinforced composites exhibit a considerable application potential in designing compliant mechanisms. The inherently high ability for function integration and the specifically adjustable compliances offers the possibility to transmit motions just by structural deformations. Especially using compliant beam elements with distributed stiffness enhance the synthesis of compliant mechanisms. For a given beam deflection with constant curvature in the deflected mode leads directly to it’s material properties without solving the Bernoulli-ordinary differential equation. The synthesis of two pose guidance tasks are discussed for four different linkage types. This method is brought into a hinge application of two coupled compliant beams for a flap guidance. |
