The large unsprung mass of the distributed drive electric vehicle(EV) has worsen the suspension performance. An active and energy regenerative suspension(AERS) is proposed to improve the suspension performance while consumeing less energy than conventional active suspension by harvesting energy from the uneven road excitation. The advantage of AERS is demonstrated by comparison with the suspension performance of a passive suspension system. A structure of AERS is introduced, and its kinematics is analyzed by CATIA DMU and ADAMS. Results show that the kinematics and dynamics of the AERS have influence on the control quality. To achieve a better suspension performance, the AERS should be controlled in consider of the kinematics and dynamics of the system. |
