The topological structure of parallel spherical mechanisms has been synthesized based upon four-bar spherical loop. The four-bar spherical loop is considered as a basic structural unit to construct spherical mechanism coupled with other single spherical open units. A spherical mechanism can be synthesized with four-bar spherical loops and/or coupled structure as branch of parallel spherical mechanism. The basic units are analysed which include four-bar spherical loop. After that, an approach to topological type synthesis of parallel spherical mechanism is proposed. The new approach has been applied to synthesize parallel spherical mechanisms. |
