Based on the configuration of the All-wheel-Drive Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (AWD PHEV), the paper presents an engine operation region based energy management strategy synthesizing the idea of engine optimum and logic threshold control methodology. The optimal working region of engine is determined according to the engine Map. The vehicle is designed to work in Charge Depleting (CD) and Charge Sustaining (CS) stages. The mode switches in CS stage are classified and analyzed in detail to balance the operation of engine and motor, aiming to achieve the best fuel economy under the guarantee of dynamic property. The co-simulation of Simulink and AMESim results show that the proposed energy management strategy improves the performance of fuel economy on condition of satisfying driver's requirement on torque. |
